Privacy policy
This policy explains how South Florida Outdoor Guides collects and uses information when you visit the website, request a trip, or apply to join the guide network.
Information you provide
Our forms may collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred dates and locations, group details, trip interests, guide-business information, consent choices, and any notes you choose to provide. Email messages may contain additional information you send voluntarily.
Information collected automatically
Our website and service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages visited, approximate location, form activity, and campaign parameters. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to keep forms working, prevent abuse, measure traffic, and understand where inquiries originate.
How we use information
- Review trip requests and identify potential guide matches.
- Contact you about your request, guide application, or support question.
- Route relevant request details to a potential guide or outfitter.
- Operate, secure, measure, and improve the website and matching process.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- Send marketing messages only where permitted and consistent with your recorded preferences.
When information is shared
We may share the information needed to evaluate or fulfill a request with prospective guide partners. We also use service providers that process information on our behalf, including HubSpot for forms and customer relationship management, Cloudflare for website delivery and security, and Google for hosted fonts and related web services. We do not sell personal information for money.
Guide partners
Guides and outfitters are independent businesses. If we connect you with a guide, that business may collect and use information under its own privacy practices. Ask the guide directly if you have questions about how it handles booking or trip information.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for matching, customer service, recordkeeping, security, and legal purposes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may decline optional marketing consent on our forms. You may also ask us to correct or delete information, or opt out of future marketing messages, by contacting us. Transactional or request-related messages may still be sent when necessary to respond to you.
Children
The website is intended for adults arranging outdoor experiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as our marketplace and service providers change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
